Dental Health Education
Welcome to our Dental Family! Our office is dedicated to making your visit comfortable and pleasant. Our goal is to work together with your family to prevent dental disease in your child. Prevention is easier, more rewarding and less expensive, than restoring a continuing problem.
The Dental Health Education program was designed to work closely with your family, and give each child individual attention. Dental Health Education is a service offered to you at no charge! Our program is a step towards a lifetime of healthy teeth for your children.
Sherri, our Dental Health Educator, will work individually with each child and parent teaching the methods of prevention of dental disease in very relaxed settings. Films are shown to instruct and motivate your child. A special movie is shown to orthodontic patients, to instruct on the importance of proper tooth brushing while wearing braces. Sherri will also review the role diet plays in the prevention of dental disease.
We invite you to participate in this learning experience so that together, we can continue to work toward the goal of excellent dental health for your family. The children will receive Dental Health Kits that include a toothbrush, floss, floss holder, mouth mirror and disclosing tablets. The kits are given to the children as a motivating tool.
Our Dental Health Education program has been very successful. We have taken our program out of the office and into the community. Sherri will visit your school, daycare, scout meetings, health fairs or any activity with a health care program geared just for your group. We are proud to have received a national meritorious award, second place in the nation, in recognition of our community involvement. Please call our office and ask for Sherri to schedule a visit for your special group of children.
